About

Pocket Arcade started as a group chat where a few of us kept sending each other links to games we couldn't stop playing on the bus. At some point we figured we might as well write it all down properly, so here we are.

We focus on the stuff that works well in short sessions: racing, arcade, and anything that respects your time. Every game gets installed, played for at least a few hours, and judged on how it actually feels in the hand — not on a trailer or a store description.

We pick games by wandering the stores ourselves and by reading what our readers send us. There's no sponsor deciding what lands on the front page. If something is dull, we say so; if something surprises us, we get excited in print.

The team is small and stubborn about details like controls, load times, and whether a game nags you every five minutes. That's the whole project, really — people who like games writing for people who like games.
